In-Person Private Sessions

Physical Therapist and client Laura Grise shared, “Lynn is a wonderful instructor and she’s so encouraging. The sessions fly by. Lynn puts so much thought in to each session to make it fit my needs. I can’t believe the progress I’ve made in just 4 weeks. I’m more flexible (I can touch my toes!) and I’m stronger. I’ve never done Pilates before but I’m a believer now, especially with Lynn."

Virtual/Online Private Sessions

84 years young Bill Wise switched from in-person sessions to virtual Private Sessions to stay safe during Covid. Bill says “I treasure the time savings and convenience of not having to travel to sessions so I have more time to do other things I want to do”. Bill only needs his mat and some exercise balls and bands. He has built enviable core strength and flexibility with Pilates.

My own sister in law Tammy Koop started Pilates by doing the “30 Day/30 mins Gentle Pilates Video Course” and became hooked. Tammy shared that the 30 day video course helped her develop the habit. Tammy said “it really did become a life routine…I don’t plan on stopping soon.” Now she continues her success with the Monthly Mat Video Library membership and loves that she can do the videos whenever and wherever she wishes. Tammy continues to do Pilates a few times a week!

Why Pilates?

Pilates is a system of mind/body exercises that evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates. Pilates strengthens and tones the entire body with a special emphasis on developing and strengthening the core postural muscles.

Pilates also improves spinal mobility, overall balance, increases coordination and reduces stress.

Who is it for? For ANYONE but especially ideal for….

  • People with back issues

  • Post physical therapy

  • People who have hit a plateau in their exercise routine

  • Special occasions when you want to tone quickly

  • Individuals who don't enjoy traditional exercise

  • Pregnancy and Post-Pregnancy

  • Incontinence

  • ANYONE who wants a toned, stronger, more flexible body!

Why Lynn?

  • I am passionate about training people with back and movement issues to achieve more flexibility and strength than they’ve ever dreamed possible.

  • My desire is for every client I work with to feel supported in their goals and comfortable. The most common description of me from client surveys is “encouraging”.

  • I’ve been teaching Pilates for over 10 years and I am continually learning and studying to better serve my clients’ needs. I’m a Nationally certified Pilates teacher though the Pilates Method alliance and also through Balanced Body Inc. and Rossiter Myofascial Stretching.

  • I have experience working with: scoliosis, spinal stenosis, spondololysthesis, active agers, MS, breast cancer recovery, incontinence, wounded warrior with explosion injuries, pregnancy AND… young and injury free clients who just want a really great work-out!

  • My home based studio allows for concentration and quiet and overlooks a small lake.

  • My own back and health issues have been my greatest teachers! Scoliosis and posture releted back pain brought me to Pilates and a viral induced cardiomyopathy and subsequent long recovery solidified my belief that Pilates can help you “Return to Life” (The title of Joseph Pilates book introducing the world to his Pilates mat exercises).
